Rio 40 in Toronto

Me and my friend came a little late on a Wednesday and they accomodated us. They were friendly and pretty attentive. Amazing food, well presented, nice large portions, with great flavours. Pricing was decent. Pretty nice place. I was very happy with my time here and would definitely return here.

It was Sunday at 5pm which was not busy at all.Me and my girlfriend ordered 2 meals and 1 appetizer but we didn’t get anything in 50 minutes not even appetizer so i asked what’s going on and the waitress said she forgot... I drove all the way there like 40 minutes and waited 50 minutes and just left and had a pizza at home.. what a great day!

I really loved their food. I always get great service there. The place is well organised and the staff members are always friendly. I highly recommend this place.

As Brazilian, I can say that I really love the restaurant, it really serves true Brazilian food. The two times I was there, I ate “picanha com fritas” which is one of my favorite meals ever. I can’t wait to try the feijoada.

Great atmosphere. Food is good but lacking healthier options (I guess you don’t go there for healthy food tho). My Brazilian friend’s favourite place so I guess that means something. It is a bit hard to get to.

Feijoada sold out very quickly. It was a long wait on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. It was packed but we got our tables immediately. It's not very worth it in term of price. We asked for the beans and farofa in a small bowl, as we haven't tried that before. (We asked for it because they are typical Brazilian dishes, I'm not here for the steak.) They were additional $7 on the bill without letting us know beforehand. Not very happy with my experience here overall.

I constantly arrive buying some food in this place. I like the quick service and well prepared food. Keep up the good work.

Was looking to try this restaurant for some time. Made the commute out there from DT. Is a little trek but we got there around 645 and got a table immediately. Around 730 that place had a line out the door. Loved the atmosphere, servers speak fluent Portuguese and small quaint place. Food was good. Beans and rice delicious, got the steak was a little red asked for well done but all in all great food. Prices are little pricey but worth it, would recommend!

I could enjoy real Brazilian food in great atmosphere with perfect atmosphere!! I liked the fact that they got any options request for guests which were really generous👍🏻

I celebrated my nomination earlier this evening in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that we passed a enjoyable evening and the venue was surely the reason for the successful event. The crew helped in a lovely manner, the cooking was delicious and my guests were so thrilled. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

This place is doubtless one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood. Always when I go there I am highly pleased. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of food they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

I was recommended to this restaurant by a Brazillian native.While the location was a bit out of the downtown core, I found the food, atmosphere and the prices to be very reasonable. While I really loved their steak and pineapple dish, I did find the rice a bit too salty. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself in my initial visit and I'm excited to come back to try other dishes.

Very good place to eat Brazilian food!

Just came back from here. I live in the area but I never go, only my second time here. Had an absolutely amazing steak dish. Highly recommend. Skip downtown fake hype machines like Copa Cabana. Rio 40 is where it's at!

They have improved a lot in the past few years. Good food and it feels like home. I wish they had more variety of Brazilian hot sauce. Brazil is the home of lots of good sauce and Tabasco is super unappealing.

I admire this venue very much. there is a nice mood. The food is marvelous. the service is powerful and the team is very professional. The pay is reasonable. truly recommend.

This place obviously knows how to please their clients. Regularly with a welcoming approach. The food is fairly priced, regularly flavorful and clean.

Good atmosphere. Nice people. Good service. We order chicken breast. Fish robarlo and steak. I don't give 5 stars because steak not taste fresh. Steak were tasting like liver. That's mean is not fresh cut. For a Brazilian restaurant I was expecting a really good steak cut. Fresh and tasty. Because steak are very popular in Brazil. Like Argentina. I cant pass it. Because is like the main dish for Brazil. Maybe I can give another chance but not sure. Can't recommend it for steaks.

We had an excellent time in this spot. We enjoyed the great atmosphere and the menu. The staff are very affable. I’m happy we finally decided to visit here.

Family's favourite spot for dinner. Great food and great people!

Decided to try Brazilian cuisine today to celebrate one of our Brazilian friends. The place is located in the very busy Corso Italia. There is a green P about 5 mins away and we parked there as the streets were too busy.We were greeted as soon an we entered and seated immediately. The place has a very Brazilian vibe. With the decor, seating and even soccer matches going on!For appetizers, we ordered the cassava fries and the pan fried rump steak. They were fresh and delicious. We had two beef and one chicken main and all of them were tasty. The Catupirhy or homemade Brazilian sauce was just perfect.The highlight for me was the homemade hot sauce! So so good!! The black beans were also very well cooked and seasoned so nicely.We also ordered two desserts both of which were fresh and delicious!A great place to try if you are looking for authentic Brazilian food. Our Brazilian friend approved!

So delicious!! Definitely found another spot to revisit over and over again. The Acai Sorbet is a must try

Certainly a spot worth visiting, the food is excellent and fresh, the rates are reasonable and it is consistently well kept there. Kudos.

First impressions:- nice & neat decorations, as expected when you enter a Latin American’s restaurant.- utensils & glasses have no stains, very clean!- excellent services.- food & drink are delicious!! Note: HUGE PORTION, suitable to share the plate with others.Below picture is their most famous steak dish & it comes with fries, 2 shrimps & a fried egg for $25. It’s totally worth to spend $$$ here.

This restaurant is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. when I I need a delicious dinner, this restaurant comes first to my mind. fresh and many types of food and a rich menu.professional team, and great ambience. Great place to get acquainted with Brazilian food for newbies and a fun spot for Portuguese speaking folks. The servers are super kind , the restaurant is tidy, the menu has just enough choices without being overwhelming and the general atmosphere is very welcoming. The steak dinner was phenomenal.

Further out from the city but still easy enough to get to from downtown Toronto. A good atmosphere with great Brazilian food and drinks. Relaxed and affordable evening out.

I had been craving some Brazilian food for so long that when I found this place, it was a no-brainer.Food was excellent. Service was very good and the patio was on point.Prices are pretty average for a sit-down place.Definitely returning.

Good service very good food and reasonable price

I take my family to this lovely place many times a year! This is my favorite restaurant to have a bite. I visit this spot frequently. The cooking is great, the team is welcoming and the charge is decent. I enjoy going in this spot to have a good supper.

Alright, first of all it took approx 75 minutes for the food to come. We ordered Calamari for appetizer which was like A- and then Shrimp stew was A! So far so good though the food was late, right. Then came the most expected medium rare Steak.. I may not be familiar with Brazilian food all the way but I do know something about steaks and I also know Brazilian steaks are to be among the top of the list. Went with all the expectations as it had been a while since I had a good steak. What did I get ? A very very mediocre meat that tasted like ground meat/liver/burger king patty.. that was the moment when I thought it was definitely not worth the wait. With the price and the time taken, I would not repeat and my tastes for Brazilian steak had definitely been ruined. Gave two stars only for the shrimp and the Calamari. May be they are good in sea foods. But overall it wasn’t a great experience that would make me go again with all the expected wait time.

The food was good. The service was okay. The waiters often forgot about our table despite it being a quiet Tuesday afternoon.

Don't go there. You waste your time and money. They always run of their signature skewered beef which is drawing customers attention on ads and let customers eat other bad food which you can cook at home instead. Don't be fulled Bad service too. Hostess and manager have no skill to communicate correctly. Very disappointed.

We love going out. Last night we came to this superb place which friends recommended to us. We had a lovely evening there with fine meal and a well-trained team and a professional cuisine. We put this place in our list and we shall definitely go again very soon. We deeply recommend.
